Extensions

Hair extensions are a great way to add length, body, volume, or highlights to your hair. Extensions are ideal for people who have naturally thin hair, have trouble growing their hair out, or were the unfortunate victim of a bad haircut. We primarily use three different methods of applying hair extensions: bonding, fusion, and sewn.

With bonding, the extensions are made from actual human hair. They are attached to your natural hair at the base by using a heating tool to bond them together.  Using real hair results in a natural look and feel. Bonding works best for people with straight to curly hair and can last for up to 6 months. This is a great option to add length and volume to your hair.

Fusion works by attaching synthetic hair to your own natural hair. A four strand braid is used to combine the extension with your hair giving your hair a fuller look with added volume. It is recommended for those with a soft wave to curly hair and can last for about 10-12 weeks.

The final option is to have the extensions sewn or glued in. First, your hair is braided in a row to provide a base for the extensions. The extension are then either sewn or glued to this base. Sewn in hair lasts longer (2-6 months) and glue is used for a quick change (2-6 weeks). This results in a natural appearance and gives you the ability to add length or volume.
